lyrics

Pillars, immense, burn bright as heaven.
Endless expanse, unholy chasm.
Man lies awake dreaming of flight.

Cosmic ocean. Landlocked, he longs for...
Sets sail beyond, dreaming of her shore.
Grave creator beckons her child.

Into the void, callow and hopeful.
Ever-distant, the stars, beautiful,
burn a wide array... Astral fireflies.

Into the night, he fades.

Through neon lightning, molten rivers and crystal lakes...
Black thunder clapping, cold electric chemical rains.
Technicolor landscapes, miles of impossible shapes
sustaining colossal beasts he can't begin to name.

Oceans of fire burning, mountains of madness...
He pushes farther searching for the source of the Siren's call...

Through collapsing stars, ravenous black holes,
he throttles hard into a field of stone...
But he can't stop now. The vessel's breaking down.
Lights flash and warnings sound,
but he can't stop now, not when he's so close.

Nothing. The engines choke and then there's
nothing. The shuttle flickers and then...
nothing. With every breath he pulls more
nothing. But he can't believe in
nothing... that he came so far for...
nothing. This can't all be for
nothing. And breaths away from
nothing,

A distant Siren calls...
